Debit and credit are day to day words with meanings that apply to their context. In accounting and finance, it can be seen as a language convention other than a language with a specific syntax and else.
The pages in this section focus on the debit credit language through an example of a payment type transaction from the sides of a customer (purchase) and a supplier (sale).
This example will also be used in the Financial accounting pages to highlight double entry accounting concept using subscripts showing in the following pages.
